Elizabeth Cush on Setting Healthy Boundaries
How do you feel when you say “No”? In this episode of Woman Worriers, host Elizabeth Cush talks about the difficulty that many women have with boundaries—and why it’s so important to set healthy boundaries for yourself.
Show Notes:
If you’re not comfortable with setting boundaries, you’re not alone. It’s not a skill many women learn while we’re learning to take care of others’ needs, and when we do try to take a stand, we may be told we’re being selfish or hard-nosed. But being able to speak up for ourselves is key to getting our needs met and living the life we want. In this week’s episode of the Woman Worriers podcast, host Elizabeth Cush, LCPC, a licensed professional therapist, founder of Progression Counseling in Annapolis, Md., and a mid-life women’s life coach, talks about why boundaries matter so much, why we struggle so much with setting healthy boundaries and what happens in our lives when we do. She shares her own personal experiences with learning to set boundaries and how she navigates them today as she continues her journey of self discovery and helps other women live more authentic lives.
