Show Notes:

Many of us are still having limited social interactions. Many people are not working, or working limited hours. Others—like healthcare providers and supply chain labor—are working long hours in stressful conditions. In the wake of an attempt to take over the United States Capitol on January 6, political violence in has left Americans shocked and shaken. So if you’re feeling anxiety, it’s no wonder. In this week’s episode of the Woman Worriers podcast, host Elizabeth Cush, LCPC, a licensed professional therapist and founder of Progression Counseling in Annapolis, Md., talks about how we can use a mindfulness practice to help us feel more grounded and present in our lives the rest of the winter. She also offers tips and five simple mindfulness practices—including one that you can do in one minute—to get away from worrying about all the uncertainty about the future and experience the present moment.
