Self-Compassion Can Help You Cope With Coronavirus
Efforts to stem the spread of covid-19 have changed our daily lives. Woman Worriers host Elizabeth Cush offers some tips on using self-compassion to deal with the array of feelings you might be experiencing.
Show Notes:
Helping to flatten the curve of covid-19 infections has meant making many changes in our day-to-day lives. Maybe you’re struggling with some of those changes, and beating yourself up because you think you should be handling them better. Maybe you’re OK with the changes and feeling guilty because you’re not struggling more. Maybe you feel like you’re not entitled to feel bad because others have it worse. In this episode of the Woman Worriers podcast, host Elizabeth Cush, LCPC, a licensed professional therapist and founder of Progression Counseling in Annapolis, Md., talks about the variety of emotional reactions to the pandemic crisis and the importance of finding your way to self-compassion in these troubling times. She also guides you through one of her favorite RAIN meditations to help you process any difficult emotions you might be experiencing so you can feel more grounded and present.
